Beaches on the Zeeland Riviera

Walcheren is largely surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches. For years, they have featured in the top 10 of cleanest beaches in the Netherlands and the recognized Blue Flag also flies here! These beaches are maintained with great care and equipped with all kinds of facilities such as, gangways, showers, playground equipment, toilets etc. You will find that each beach has its own character, from the busy badstrand in Vlissingen to the dog friendly Berken bos beach in Oost-kapelle.
With such a wide range of beaches, different rules have also arisen. It is important you check the signs as some beaches restrict dogs and some sports (kitesurfing, kite flying etc).
